Today is Your Birthday!

Today I have called on the Beatles' Birthday to celebrate a very special event. My own dad had his birthday this week! He took the whole week off just to spend time with us and have a grand time.

We went to the movies and ate out, had a birthday party for him (duh), went to a magnificent water park in Pennsylvania, went fishing with him, and went boating with some friends

We had just a blast and I am so thankful for everything he ever does for us. My wonderful dad provides for our family while being a lawyer. I love you, Dad!

Sendin' Out An SOS!

On August 7 I had the lucky chance to go see The Police in concert at Madison Square Garden. It was a life changing experience. I loved it start to finish. All of their songs were performed perfectly with some cool improvising. I don't know how I got to see them, but I did.

P.S. That's a picture of them playing on stage at the concert.

Listen To Wall-E, Go Environmental!

After seeing Pixar's newest film, WALL-E , I started to ponder the masterpiece I had just watched. After deciding that I liked it better than Finding Nemo by just a tad, I also found that there was a message imbedded in there that I didn't find as clearly in any other Pixar film.

After much deliberation I thought to consult my one source that couldn't fail me now, my mom. She said "The movie is very environmental and talks a lot about the problems people have today like with obesity and Nintendo Wii." This went into my brain and was quickly evaluated by my senses as pretty important.

I thought again and realized that we are a pretty environmentally healthy family. We recycle all that we can, we try to be fuel efficient with the car, and we use tupperware instead of plastic bags. So with that said the message in WALL-E were bonus points on my ratings chart. I recommend this movie if you are ready for little dialogue.

Hooray for all the Mets Fans in the Galaxy!

Guess who the Mets got?

That's right they got Johan Santana. He had 243 strikeouts (for those who aren't familiar with baseball that is really good) last year. He had 19 wins (also really good) in 2006 and won the Cy Young award. And he is on the Mets.
